About The Lodge

The Lodge Dental Practice was established in the early 1940s. Tim Earl took over the practice in May 1999, since then the practice has become the first in England to be accepted on the BDA Good Practice Scheme, recently being awarded Gold membership status. Tim was also part of the development team for the Denplan Excel Programme. Such accreditation schemes guarantee high quality, affordable dentistry which is practiced in a professional and caring environment.

We will:

  • Listen carefully to your concerns and dental needs.
  • Be punctual and do our absolute best to see you on time.
  • Provide high quality dentistry using only the best materials available and evidence based techniques in safe and comfortable surroundings.

Your commitment to us

In return, we ask you to:

  • Arrive in good time for your appointment.
  • Provide at least 24 hours notice of cancellation when necessary.
  • Settle your fees upon request.
  • Take care of your oral health and use the maintenance techniques we teach you.
  • Attend review, examination and maintenance appointments as requested.

If you are happy with the treatment and service we provide, please refer us to people you feel would also benefit from our services.

Accessibility

Access to the surgery is via a number of steps into a Georgian building, and we regret that there is no separate access for wheelchairs. We do however offer home visits for simple treatment and can offer a referral service for more specialist care.

Complaints and Data Protection

We at The Lodge Dental Practice take complaints very seriously. We have thorough systems in place for dealing with complaints and access to your data. Please ask at reception or call us on 01825 763773 for details.

And Finally

We are very aware that most people do not like visiting the dentist. With this in mind we have created a practice which is warm and welcoming and unlike most practices you will see. Firstly it does not smell like a dental surgery. We have a beautifully appointed lounge for you to relax in prior to treatment with leather sofas and relaxing décor. We have a massage chair, a choice of refreshments, along with up-to-date magazines to suit a range of tastes. If you come early enough we can provide you with some refreshments from our extensive drinks menu. For those who have small children we have a box of toys and books, to keep them happy while you wait to be seen and one of our team can look after your child when you are in the surgery. Please ask at reception and we will be only too happy to help make your trip to the dentist a totally different experience.

The staff all aim to make you feel as welcome and as comfortable as possible and hope that you feel relaxed in our dental surroundings. We are all very approachable and pride ourselves on our customer service. Let us be your dentist and you will not be disappointed.

'I am so pleased to have such a brilliant team. They are a pleasure to work with and make the practice a joy to work in. We are able to make the fine balance between a professional environment which is also welcoming and fun to be in. The patients love the friendly atmosphere we create.' Tim Earl, Principal Dentist
