Why have unsightly amalgam fillings when you can have fillings that match the colour of your own teeth and look so natural that they cannot easily be distinguished from healthy tooth structure?
White fillings are increasing in popularity and more people are having their old amalgams replaced with these. We at The Lodge Dental Practice only place white fillings because they are made of a good material which is mercury free (unlike amalgam) and is also stronger and lasts longer than amalgam.
White fillings are bonded to the tooth structure and come in an array of colours that can be accurately matched to each individual tooth. They are very pliable when placed but set as hard as the actual tooth under LED lighting.
