Making sure you feel relaxed and comfortable is our primary concern. When an anaesthetic is required we will explain the options to you and help you make the right choice.
Quite often patients say they are allergic to the adrenalin in local anaesthetic. Just to reassure you – firstly it is very hard to be allergic to something that is produced in your own body and secondly if you were to have an acute allergic reaction (anaphylactic reaction) then the first drug of choice would be adrenalin. We can provide anaesthetic without adrenalin for those patients who are still concerned.
We can offer intravenous sedation for very nervous patients which is administered by a hospital anaesthetist. We are unable to offer this service for children under 18 years old and patients who are not regular attenders of the practice.
