New Patient Examination

We would like to welcome all new patients for an initial consultation.

The first visit to a new a dentist is important for both patient and dentist. We allow enough time to discuss your previous dental history and any concerns or apprehensions that you may have. We also offer a full scientific examination process by means of the Denplan Oral Health Score.

The consultation will take 30-45 minutes and will include:

• Taking a full detailed medical and dental history.
• Checking your teeth and gums and recording information about them on our computer systems.
• Checking the function of your jaw joint.
• A visual examination of your mouth as part of oral-cancer screening and checking lymph nodes.
• Any necessary x-rays (free of charge).
• Discussion of your oral hygiene routine.
• Discussion of the proposed treatment (if any) and the formulation of a treatment plan.
• Providing an itemised estimate of the cost of your planned treatment and a schedule of works which will enable you to plan the timing of your treatment.

The cost of the full consultation is £80 (or £47 if you are a transferring Denplan patient).
